Hays has revealed the top five job hotspots for the first half of 2020 nationally, including mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, drill and blast operators, heavy diesel fitters and dump truck operators.
The office of the chief economist predicted that Australia’s resources and energy commodity exports could set a record of $281 billion in 2019–2020.
Global geopolitical uncertainty has also led analysts to suggest that Australia may become the world’s largest gold producer by the mid-2020s.
